E-safety Parental Workshop
Thursday 15 Oct 2015
Thank you to all those parents who attended tonight's fantastic workshop run by Julia Codman, Sheffield's E-safety project manager. Those who attended were incredibly positive about the evening and we as a school are keen to inform as many parents as possible about the content of the workshop.
We have links on our school website to many of the websites shown tonight and I will shortly be posting the key findings from our own pupil e-safety questionnaires as they make for very interesting viewing.
With technology playing an ever increasing part in our children's lives it is important that we work together to safeguard and educate our children of the risks they can face when online. We have a robust e-safety curriculum in school but this can only be successful if the messages given in school are supported at home. The workshop this evening highlighted the risks and gave practical help and advice.
We will be looking to run another workshop in the near future and very much hope to see you there.
Please do look out for the summary of our own questionnaires and please do come in to school to see us if you have any e-safety concerns.
