E-Safety Parental Workshop Thursday 15th 6.30 - 7.45pm
Thursday 15 Oct 2015
On Thursday evening school will be hosting a parental E-Safety workshop with Julia Codman.
The online world is a wonderful place for young people to explore, learn and be creative, but just like the real world there are risks and dangers they should be aware of and which we should all protect them from. As a school we encourage the use of technology as an important part of our pupils’ development and at times we will be calling upon them to undertake extra work at home, some of which may be internet based.
To help you understand what the issues are and receive practical help, we are holding a parents and carers workshop supported by the Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board . Please come along to find out what children at our school have told us about being online and the risks it presents to them, you may be very surprised! You will also find out how we teach children to be responsible and keep safe online. We will try to answer any questions you may have on the evening so if you have any specific concerns, please bring them with you.
We do hope you can join us for what we are certain will be an informative and enjoyable evening.
