Festive fun

We have had a very festive week in year 1.

The children have been working really hard this week writing letters to Father Christmas and to home. Please look out for a special letter, written by your child, requesting a small amount of party food for their Christmas party on Wednesday. If you child has a festive jumper ,  they are welcome to wear it to school on Wednesday. Thank you in advance for your contribution and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

You should have received their spelling book today. We always test the children on a Thursday and return their spelling books on a Friday with their new spellings. This week they have no new spellings but if you have chance over the holidays, you could revisit some of the highlighted words in their book. These are words that they struggled with in the test.

They have also been busy making Christmas cards, sewing and making costumes and props for the Manger Mouse performance.

Today, we had the dress rehearsal and they were outstanding. They were so sensible getting changed into their fantastic costumes, sang beautifully and sat sensibly throughout the performance . We all felt so proud of them and can't wait for you to see their performance next week.
