Halving and Bears

This week in Numeracy we have been halving. We started by halving lots of different objects, shapes and quantities. We then moved onto halving numbers discovering that we could only halve the even numbers to 20. The children had great fun singing a halving song called Chip Chopper who chopped numbers in half.



In Literacy we have been learning the story of The Three Bears. We have been learning actions to help us remember the story and punctuation and plotting it onto a story map. On Thursday the children were fantastic at acting out the story in small groups. Today we have learnt all about speech bubbles and have used the characters speech to retell parts of the story.
