Outdoor Learning
Friday 15 Sep 2017
This week we have taken advantage of the dry weather and have done lots of outdoor learning.
The children looked at the work of Andy Goldsworthy and created their own creations using natural materials they found around school.
In Science we started to think about our senses and read the book Stanley's stick. The children then went outside to create their own sticks. They were fantastic and all looked so different, The children used their sense of sight to find twigs, leaves, flowers and feathers and their sense of touch to build their creations.
We hope your children are settling in well and have enjoyed their first full week, there were some tired faces this afternoon but also lots of lovely happy smiles.
We wish you all a relaxing weekend and look forward to meeting you next week at our welcome meeting.
