This week

In Maths this week we have been seeing double!! The children have been learning all about doubling numbers to 10, 25 and 50 and have been learning that doubling is the same as adding a number to itself. Whilst on our learning walk, they learnt that you can relate doubles to real life situations and in class we used a picture of a double decker bus to think of their own examples of doubling. Ask your child if they can remember the doubling machine song they sang in class.



In Literacy we have been looking at non-fiction texts. We linked their learning to the science topic and wrote non-fiction books on wood, plastic, metal and glass. The children worked really hard to include the key features of a non-fiction text. They are all experts now on materials and their properties.
