Welcome to Year 1 and what a fantastic first week we have had.
From the minute they arrived on Wednesday they have made us extremely proud with their attitude to their learning, their kindness and positivity. This is even harder when you are feeling extremely tired after a long summer break.
You should have received our Year 1 welcome pack and if you have any further questions we shall be having our welcome meeting on Monday 17th September at 3.15. There will be childcare available if needed in Foundation stage. If for whatever reason you cannot make it feel free to pop in anytime for a chat.
Next week we will be starting P.E. please can you make sure that they have their P.E. kits in school by Tuesday. May we remind you that they require indoor shoes to wear inside.
We are currently completing a phonics assessment which will help us identify which new reading book is most suitable for your child. We shall then be sending home a reading book. Please bear with us whilst during this process.
