Friday 12th May

Just a short message to let you know the details for the Year 2 SATs.  We've told the children that they will be doing some special work in groups over the next two weeks but that it is nothing to worry about. We intend to keep it very low key to prevent any anxiety.

Next week, all the children will have two reading comprehension papers ( on different days) which will be administered in small groups with the class teacher. The following week, we will do the same for maths (arithmetic and reasoning papers).

You do not need to do anything differently over the next two weeks - but some early nights would help!
We have sent home a reading comprehension - 'Staying Healthy' which is this week's homework.

There will be no spellings now until after the holidays but please feel free to revisit the Y2 common exception words or any previous spelling rules.

To celebrate the end of an era in the Infants, the Year 2 staff are currently trying to organise the Year 2 camp with the support of the Bradway Scouts - more information to follow!
