This week, the children have worked extremely hard on their SATs tests. Only one more 'quiz' to go!

In Literacy, we have been writing stories and letters using compound sentences, contracted words and apostrophes to show possession.

In Numeracy, we have been collecting information to put into tally charts and then into bar charts and answering question based upon the data shown. Why not have a go at collecting your own data at home and creating a tally chart? Maybe you could find out family members' favourite foods, animals, tv shows, dream holiday destinations!

Spellings have been sent home this week. Please also continue to work hard on learning the common exception words with your child. Those children who can already read and spell the year 2 list should have already come home with the year 3/4 list in preparation for next academic year.

If you need to speak with your child's teacher before the holiday, please try to do so by Wednesday as some of the team will be unavailable on Thursday and Friday due to SATs marking time.

Over the holiday, please ensure your child has appropriate indoor shoes/PE pumps. We are finding many children complaining that their shoes are too small or no longer fasten/stay on their feet. From a health and safety point of view, the children need shoes that they can safely take part  in PE in and move around school in.
