HAPPY 2016!
Friday 08 Jan 2016
Happy new year and welcome back. We hope you all had a happy and fun filled holiday. The children have returned to school full of beans and buzzing with stories about their time off school.
This week we have finished our Literacy unit on 'The Princess and the White Bear King'. Why not ask your child to retell the story. In Numeracy we have been consolidating our number bonds to ten and using them to add and take away from multiples of ten. In PE we have started a new unit of work called 'Parts High, Parts Low'. The children were extremely excited about using the large apparatus in the hall.
The weather is finally turning colder (hopefully killing all the germs) and we ask that you send your child dressed appropriately for the bracing Bradway weather! The playground is exposed and the children need warm, waterproof clothing and footwear for the bad weather. Please ensure all items of clothing and footwear are named so we can try our best to reunite lost property with the many owners! Indoor shoes are also needed to help keep our carpets (and bottoms) clean and dry.
There are a handful of children in each class who regularly forget their green spelling books on a Friday. This makes it difficult for us to inform you of their weekly scores and often means that new spelling lists are lost, resulting in extra work for staff.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
