Evacuee Day

Tuesday 17 Jan 2017

What a great day we've had. This morning, our Y4 children were split up and caught the train to different parts of the country so they could stay safe during World War II. Unfortunately, as was the case during the real evacuation, many of them experienced poor treatment at the hands of both the teachers and the other children in their 'new class'. We used this experience to write letters home telling our parents what it felt like to be real evacuees.

A big shout out to parents and carers for all of the hard work and effort you've put into the children's costumes. They look great  and we really appreciate your support.
