Shoes, Sun and Sports

On Tuesday we had an assembly asking children to donate any unwanted shoes to a children's home in the Philippines. Particularly black school shoes as children in the Pilippines can't go to school unless they have black shoes. They need to be paired together with a rubber band and taken to Mrs Hawksworth's classroom.
It has been a tough week with the sun glaring down on our classrooms making the children hot and tired but they have shown great resilience and kept going with their studies. On Thursday we had a great time trying out different athletic activities - the children demonstrated great team work, sportsmanship and were really well behaved in the hot sun.
