Climb to the top!!
Friday 10 Mar 2017
Well another fantastic week in Y5. We visited the Climbing Works and had a great day! The children were amazing! Take a look at some of the great pictures below.
Ben Heason, a free climber, who climbed Angel Falls, the tallest free flowing waterfall in the world, came into school on Wednesday to talk to the children and share his experiences as an explorer. The workshop was brilliant and the children asked some fantastic questions.
A few children spent time with a poet on Tuesday and wrote poems in small groups. We then had a special assembly where they performed their poems to the school. The children really enjoyed themselves and produced some fantastic poems.
On Friday we went Exploring Bradway Island, in the search of a new creature. The children set out an obstacle course, followed maps and explored dangerous caves and rivers as well as rainforests. We all had a fab time!! Take a look at the pictures below.
Don't forget parents evening is on Monday 13th and Wednesday 15th March.
Have a lovely weekend.
The year 5 Team.
