Bradway Primary School

Egg-cellent end to the term!

Friday 18 Mar 2016

Well done to all the children who decorated an egg for our Easter assembly.  They were all fantastic.  A special congratulations go to Louie, Daisy M and Ted, our winning egg designers.

We had a short break from 'There's a boy in the Girl's Bathroom' this week so that we could write a non-chronological report.  Our reports were on Alien planets and their inhabitants.  All the children created their own alien with some fantastic results.  We're looking forward to reading them over the holiday.  Today, we came back to our story and were thinking about the character of Bradley  Chalkers. He is fighting a battle between the good Bradley on the inside and the bad (monster) Bradley that everyone else sees.

In maths this week, we have been working on understanding the relationship between addition and subtraction.  We have then used this to solve missing number problems.

This afternoon, there were erupting volcanoes in the classroom as our topic on Explorers and Mountains came to an end.

Hopefully, your child came home with a letter about our trip to Thornbridge today.  We will be holding a parents meeting on Thursday 14th April straight after school.  Much of what we will be covering is the same as in Y4 although you are obviously welcome to come and join us and ask any questions you may have.

Have a wonderful holiday.
