Bradway Primary School

Past, Present, PERFECT!!

Sunday 22 Jan 2017

Well another busy week in Year 5 this week. We have been learning how to ensure we write in the correct tense and learned new terminology in English! We have written our own diary entries based on our book Ice Trap. We had to be part of Shackleton's crew and write about a day and night being stuck in the ice, far away in the Antarctic.

Maths has been all about division. We have divided numbers with 4 digits in them, some of the children got on to dividing by two numbers, others were showing the fraction and decimal equivalent. Fantastic!!

In topic we have continued to look at Explorers and this week were outside looking at different habitats and the creatures that live there.

In PE we have been circuit training and the children have been doing an amazing job, there some really fit and agile children in Year 5!

Finally, last week over 50 children went to the Young Voices concert at Sheffield Arena, around 20 of them were from Year 5. We had a fantastic time and the children were a real credit to the school. If you didn't manage to go, take a look at the amazing photos!!

Have a lovely weekend and wrap up!!

The year 5 team.
