The Easter Story

This week in Y5, we have been having a religious focus and in the run up to Easter have been looking at what Christians believe, why they believe and how they celebrate. Each day we have focussed on a different event from the Easter story. On Monday we learned about Palm Sunday, yesterday The Last Supper and today we heard about and discussed Good Friday. It has really raised some interesting talking points amongst the children and they have been asking lots of insightful questions about Christian beliefs. Tomorrow we will complete our R.E. week by learning about the events of Easter Sunday.
In addition, just another reminder that Y5SS will be attending the Victorian classroom this Friday 20th March, and Y5C next Monday 23rd March. Don’t forget to come dressed in your Victorian attire and come prepped with a Victorian packed lunch! Please arrive at school promptly, as we will be catching the public bus into Sheffield and don’t want to leave anybody behind.
