Another awesome week!

Year 6 have had another great week! In mathematics, both groups have moved to formal arithmetic methods, using columns for addition and subtraction. We have been impressed with how much they seem to enjoy tackling investigations.

In art, the children have started making Greek collages, working incredibly well in teams to produce some fantastic results. We also had a look at evolution in Science and learnt about how different cultures believe living things evolved. We then had a go at matching animals to their adaptations and deciding why they were important. They have also started writing up their Heracles myths, with a focus on using dialogue and imaginative language. We are both looking forward to reading them all.

There has been a fab response to the first set of homework, with most children having brought it in early! Keep up the good work! If you haven't brought it in yet, just a reminder that the spelling test is tomorrow and the sheets are due back on Friday.
