The kids have been great!

Good evening all!

We just wanted to say what a fantastic attitude the children have shown since they returned from the Easter break.

They have worked so hard and got stuck into their work very maturely. Obviously, we have been doing a fair bit of revision in preparation for the SATs tests next week and we are so proud of the effort everyone has been putting in - even when they have found it difficult! A huge well done to you all! Hope you like the picture of the maths trial we did outside which has helped with the revision?



Away from the SATs, we have begun a really fantastic writing topic based on short, narratives with a twist ending. We read about a tsunami about to destroy a city which turned out to be headlice being attacked by 'nit shampoo' and a terrifying kidnapping which was actually a trip to the dentist. The children also generated their own very brief examples, which included an execution! Fear not, it was actually about a haircut. Over the next week or so we will be developing these skills to make our narratives even better!
