Transition to Meadowhead this week
Tuesday 05 Jul 2016
Good afternoon all,
I hope you are all excited about your transition days which start tomorrow and you feel ready to take those first steps into Secondary education?
Below is a reminder of the details for how the transition visit will take place. Please make a note of the slight alterations in times which we posted in error yesterday afternoon:
Thursday 7th July:
Year 6 children come to Bradway as usual at the normal time BUT will meet in the main school hall.
You will have lessons in the morning and a slightly earlier lunch (11.50pm).
Children can then get changed into Meadowhead uniform (if they wish to) and will be taken to Meadowhead on the bus
at the top of Bradway Drive at approximately 12:30 accompanied by Bradway school staff.
The children will go into the main hall at Meadowhead at 1.15pm and have welcome meeting and discover their new form groups at 1.30pm.
The day at Meadowhead will finish at 2.30pm and children are expected to independently make their way home as they would expect to in September form the school unless specific arrangements have been arranged.
Friday 8th June:
Children will make their own way to Meadowhead for 8.30 am and should not come to Bradway beforehand.
The day at Meadowhead is expected to finish about 3.00 pm and children will make their way home once the day is over.
Any other details are available in the the Meadowhead information packs which were sent out.
Can we also remind pupils they MUST take their Literacy and Maths transition booklet with them for the work they will be undertaking during the transition days.
We hope you have a fabulous time and look forward to seeing you back at Bradway on Monday morning.
Mr Yates and Miss Svoboda :)
